Your time at Wheaton has uniquely prepared you to utilize your knowledge, global perspective, and faith-based worldview to understand how what we say in a digital context impacts us, others, and the world.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Past or Current Wheaton Student

  • Political science or Business-Econ focus

  • Available 30 mins/day, 6 days/week for at least 4 weeks

  • Willingness to review or Tweet at least 3x/day

  • Working knowledge of the Twitter platform

  • Unpaid opportunity

  • Starguard is a patent-pending AI-driven platform leveraging human expertise to detect and intercept harmful content before it goes public on social networks.

  • The Beta Program at Starguard allows us to connect with students at colleges to provide them with firsthand experience to our application and allow them to be a part of our journey to promote free speech.

  • Starguard has two applications: one for the users and one for the guardians. The Guardians are reviewers who review content marked as high risk by the AI technology and provide an unbiased risk rate for the user to consider.

  • The user privacy is of utmost importance to us. All the content that Guardians review is anonymous to them.

  • As one of our first users through the Beta Program, the users get to be a part of the development of a ground-breaking technology and inclusive ecosystem. Additionally, it allows them to understand and navigate free speech as well as have a positive impact on their communities.

  • A. The program spans a period of 4 weeks which includes 2 weeks of Onboarding, 1 week of Beta testing, and 1 week of Evaluation.

  • Throughout the program, the students have support on how to use the app, how to review the content and product reviews.

  • Through this program, we intend to build relationships that go beyond these 4-weeks. We provide support to users who want to access the application for their day-to-day use. We also look forward to recruiting guardians for our application for our other ongoing programs and customers.
